You already know some words about nature, about the world around us. Let’s play a memory game. Look at the words for a moment, then close the book and name everything you remember.

a) the part of a plant which is often beautiful and coloured;
b) a large area of land with lots of trees;
c) a large water body flowing to a sea or an ocean;
d) a big bright body in the sky from which the earth gets light;
e) a space body in the sky which moves round the earth and shines at night.

   You can find seas, rivers, lakes, oceans, continents, islands, mountains on the earth.

3. Что можно увидеть на полях и в лесах?
   You can see flowers in the fields and trees in the forests.
   На полях можно увидеть цветы, а в лесах — деревья.
4. Что можно увидеть в небе?
   You can see the sun, the moon and a lot of stars in the sky.
   На небе можно увидеть солнце, луну и много звезд.
5. Англия находится на острове или континенте. А Канада?
   England is situated on an island. Canada is situated on the continent, it’s in North America.
   Англия располагается на острове. Канада располагается на континенте, она в Северной Америке.
6. Сколько в мире континентов?
   There’re 7 continents in the world. They are Europe, Asia, Australia, Antarctic, South America, North America, and Africa.
   В мире 7 континентов. Это Европа, Азия, Австралия, Антарктида, Южная Америка, Северная Америка и Африка.
